Hello, Loves! This post is a bit embarrassing because it was my first attempt at water marbling and I wasn't happy about the wait it turned out. I didn't want to start over because I was frustrated so I just left it lol.
When I first began I was in a hurry so when I dunked my first nail in the water, I forgot to protect my surrounding cuticles so it was a mess. I used Vaseline to protect my other cuticles so it wasn't as messy as the first nail. During the process I had left the polishes I was using open so I could easily use them to drop polish in the water. I'm a klutz so at one point I accidently knocked over one of those polishes -_-...I don't think I'll be doing this anytime soon...
So here is my sad attempt:
I used Maybelline Color Show Onyx Rush for the base, OPI Into The Night, OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, and Essie Lapis of Luxury.
Be sure to check out these lovely ladies to see what they created for today's challenge!

DeleteAw haha I'm sorry about a) not protecting your first finger and b) knocking over a bottle of polish. I've done that before.
ReplyDeleteI'd say this is a good first attempt. Better than me - I've never tried it yet. I don't think I have the patience!
lmao thanks, Julie! It will be a while until I try this again!

DeleteI think it looks really cool. It reminds me of smoke in the air for some reason. Very abstract looking. Hope you give it another try ;0).

DeleteThis is pretty, yay for blues! I haven't tried watermarble yet but it seems interesting. I'm a klutz too, so I'd be worried. About a week or so ago I was painting my nails and knocked my cap-less nail polish remover off my desk and onto the floor.. needless to say, I need to buy a new bottle. :(
ReplyDeleteThanks! omg I have done that too :( It really sucks!! I hope you get one soon...
