Essie Lady Like

So this happened last weekend...

My right pinky nail had a break while I was washing the dishes and while I was looking at the damage I wondered what it would feel like to have short nails again. A few moments later, I had little nubbins!

Since it's been a long while since I've had short nails, it is definitely something to get used to. With my long nails, I had adjusted the angle of my typing on a keyboard and typing on my touch screen phone. Now that my nails are short, typing on the screen of my phone is a challenge. My thumbs underestimate where the letters are. So sad lol.

As a sort of palette cleanser for my newly shortened nails I decided to paint them with Essie's Lady Like, a nude, rosy shade.

I hope you are having a wonderful week so far!

  4. Very elegant! I know what you mean about adjusting to a different nail length; it feels so strange to me whenever I nubbinize in my seemingly never ending battle against peelies.

  5. Awww, I hope that your nails grow back fast! Washing dishes is when I tend to break my nails too. You dressed up your nubbins in a great colour though!

  7. These are lovely, Traci! Wow, if my nails wound up looking half this good after a break... ;o)

I totally know what you mean about typing, hah! I have the exact same problem, even when I've just filed them a little bit--the angles are all wrong! >_<

  9. i love having short nails! oddly enough, my nails are super long at the moment... i've been having many issues with peeling nails, but they seem to be ok right now. i was just thinking about what to do with them... whether i should cut them or take this opportunity to try a new nail shape. yours look so pretty even after a break!

  10. Aw that's a shame about your nails. I have always had short nails and I'm trying to grow them out now and it's sucha process. My index finger keeps breaking! My pinky is nice and long though haha.

That is an awesome nude polish. It's funny I mostly have brights from essie even though they seem to make some great nudes!
