Twinsie Tuesday | Most hated trend

Happy Tuesday! I can't believe Twinsie Tuesday is here already! The weeks feel like they are getting shorter...before we know it, it's going to be December!

This week's theme for Twinsie Tuesday is our "most hated trend." I had trouble with this theme because I feel like hate is such a strong word...I couldn't think of any trends that I hated! There are probably trends that I am not fond of, but none that I hate lol.

I finally decided to go with 3D nail art. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't hate 3D nail art. It's just not something I would wear out since they can be really busy-looking and I would be worried about the embellishments falling off.

I used OPI's You're Such a Budapest as a base for all my nails and topped my pointer and ring fingers with OPI's DS Coronation. The embellishments were from my sister who I believe purchased them at Daiso.

And...for those of you who may have noticed and may be wondering about...yes, my nails have changed shapes! One of corners of my nails broke and instead of filing them all down, I filed them to an almost pointed, almond shape. I'm still getting used to them so they look strange to me, but we'll see how long I'll keep them this way. Any thoughts on this shape? Anything is appreciated!

  6. 3D is a trend I'm not that crazy about either. I don't hate it, in fact I think it can look amazing sometimes but it just seems very impractical! A friend gave me a box of little butterflies for your nails and I tried them but every time I had to move my hair they kept getting stuck or falling off!! Very annoying lol! I think you nails look lovely that shape, very pretty :)

  9. I've seen these and thought now that is a broken nail waiting to happen. I know those embellishments like the flower would get caught on something and then how do you work in those things? Hime gyaru nails are simply not my thing either. They are cute on some but not for me.

    1. lol it really is! It felt so different with so much on my nails! Yea, they would definitely get caught on everything! Yea, these types of nails are cute, but not something I can do :)

  12. I like seeing pictures of 3d nail art but haven't tried it on myself. I do have some bows I want to try but only on one nail. I do think 3d nail art looks better on long nails. I think your pointy round shape looks cute. I'm thinking about rounding mine, I so tired of my corners breaking off.

    1. Yea, I actually haven't done them as extensively as this before now. Yea, longer nails can hold more too haha. Thanks, Rhonda! :D I'm also tired of corners breaking off....

  17. I don't necessarily dislike this trend as I've seen some pretty cool ones but like you I wouldn't wear it out. I'd be too worried about things falling off too!
With that said though, you totally rocked it! I love the combination you chose. :)
