Rock Your Hair product thoughts

Hello beautifuls. A few months ago, Rock Your Hair was so kind and generous to send six of their best selling products to try out and review.

For a little Rock Your Hair background information, here is a snippet taken directly from the Rock Your Hair website
"Based in Malibu, California, Rock Your Hair is the latest big thing in the world of professional hair care. Designed by the founder of Big Sexy Hair, LA celebrity stylist Michael O’Rourke, Rock Your Hair delivers big volume and endless styling capabilities combining ingredient technologies that protect and rep:air hair from damage brought on by flat irons and chemical processes. All products are sulfate and paraben free and safe for all hair types."

What I received and my thoughts on each product:

BIG HAIR ROCKS SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER
I used the shampoo and conditioner for about a week. They worked just as any shampoo and conditioner would. They both had really light scents and I barely noticed there was a scent at all. The conditioner definitely made my hair feel soft and smooth. I have thick hair so I didn't notice too much of a difference with the volume of my hair after using them. I noticed a bit of volume after towel-drying my hair, but I think because I have so much hair, it just didn't do much for me. This shampoo and conditioner may work best on hair that is thin or limp.

MIRACLE LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER, WEIGHTLESS DETANGLER
This leave-in conditioner was one of my two favorites out of the bunch. I used this a few times after having my hair up and it detangled my hair like no other and left it feeling moisturized and smooth. It also has a nice light scent. The one time when this product really helped my hair was when I had my hair done for the first time at a salon. The stylist teased my hair a lot for my up-do and when it was time to undo the do, I could not run my fingers through my hair and my brush could not loosen the tangled mess. Rock Your Hair's detanlger was a life-safer; It loosened the knots and my bush was eventually running through it like nothing happened.

BOMBSHELL BIG HAIR POWDER
This hair powder is the second of the two favorite of the products I received. When I put my hair up for work, I throw it up in a messy bun and like to have the top of my head hair lifted with volume so it doesn't lay flat on my head. This big hair powder effortlessly adds volume to any section that it is applied. All you do is sprinkle the powder onto a section that needs volume, use your fingers to work it into the hair, and you feel the texture and see the hair start to volumize. I think my favorite part about this product is applying it to my hair. Who wouldn't like sprinkling some magic "powdered snow" onto their hair?

SPRAY IT HARD: BIG VOLUME HAIRSPRAY
This hairspray gives great hold and just like the name says, it gives your hair that hard feel. I don't use this kind of hair spray often (I usually use a light hold to tame fly-a-ways), but when I tried this out on my messy-bun, it really held my hair in place.

SIZE MATTERS: BIG VOLUME ROOT LIFT
This root lift was fun to use and I surprisingly found that it helped lift the roots of my hair. The directions state to use this when your hair is damp and prior to blow drying. I used this a few times and I unquestionably noticed a lasting volume where I applied it.
My sister has long, multi-layered hair and this is a product I know she would love because her hair is thin and usually lays flat. This root lift would help her achieve some volume.

I know this post wasn't something that is a norm on my blog, but I hope you found this interesting and if you were in search for volume-related hair products, I hope this helped!

I hope you all are having a great start to this week!

    2. It felt like powdered sugar to me (now try NOT to think of that when you are sprinkling it)! It works so well though, especially since my hair is so flat.
