Christmas Questions

Hi, Loves! I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. Last week, Ellie from Ellalogy was tagged to do a Christmas questions tag. You can check out her post here. Ellie has a beautiful blog where she posts about different topics including beauty, style, life and much more! I highly recommend you check out her blog! You won't regret it :)

Now on to the Christmas questions:

1. What makes Christmas such a special holiday for you and your family?
Spending time together is definitely what makes Christmas a special time of the year. It's always fun visiting with family since most of the year we don't see everyone often.

2. Were you told the truth about Santa Claus by your parents or did you find out another way? And do you plan on lying to your kids?
Like Ellie, I eventually grew suspicious and figured out the truth about Santa Claus on my own. For the sake of my younger brother, my sister and I still "believed" in Santa with him to keep the magic alive. I don't remember how my sister and brother found out about Santa...I think they figured it out on their own as well. When I have kids, I do plan on lying to them about Santa. I think at a young age, it's fun and exciting to believe there is something magical out there.

3. Real tree of fake tree?
Although having a real tree would be nice, I'm going to have to say fake tree. Growing up I remember us having real trees at first, but eventually we had a fake tree and it was fun to have the same tree all the time...as funny as that sounds. It's like we were able to grow up with the same tree :)

4.Do you open presents on Christmas morning, Christmas Eve or both?
We usually open one present on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas throughout the day. We usually end up opening presents throughout the day since we usually have presents to open with our immediate family and then presents to open with other family depending where we end up going. When we were young, I remember my brother, sister and I would wake up before my parents, go downstairs to the tree and wait for my parents to get up. We wouldn't start without them lol.

5.What is your favorite Christmas movie to watch? Favorite Christmas song to sing or listen to?
Growing up I liked watching It's a Charlie Brown Christmas and A Christmas Story. The past few years my fiancĂ© and I have made it a "tradition" to watch Elf while wrapping Christmas presents.
I had to think about this one, but I really enjoy the Christmas song Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire. It's such a warm and comforting song...

I hope anyone who is interested in sharing their Christmas traditions does this Christmas Questions tag! I'd love to see your post!

  7. Elf is so funny and heartwarming and that is a sweet tradition that you and your fiance have :) We have a fake tree as well now that we live in an apartment and real trees just get to be too much of a hassle to dispose of after the season's over. I do miss that fresh pine smell though...
