Hello Loves! I recently purchased China Glaze's Aquadelic and Essie's Where's My Chauffeur? and found that I have collected a few similar turquoise/teal polishes. I would like to justify that they all have a different shade as my fiance wondered why I had so many of the same colored polishes -_-
In reality I really don't need this many turquoise lacquers, but I have a hard time resisting...I'm going to have to work on saying "no" to myself when it comes to getting similar shades. Anyone else have this problem?
Below I have 10 polishes to share with you:
All but Essie's Turquoise & Caicos and OPI's Mermaid's Tears took only 2 coats while these took 3. I could go into detail about the shade differences, but I don't want to type a lengthy post. If you have any of these colors or are planning on getting any of these, I hope this helps you see how they compare.
As always, have a beautiful day! ♥
hahaha so many colors!!good that I'm not a nail polish girl because i have the same problem with blushes!!I'm addicted to them and i have to stop myself from buying so many because gravitate towards the same type of shades...same things with lip products. so seriously thanks that i'm not into nails!
ReplyDeletebut guys...they would never understande the subtle change in color =)
xo bea!
lol! I'm glad you understand though! I know how it can be with blushes and lip products. I have quite a few lip products with similar shades! haha!
DeleteBeautiful, I actually love the ombre effect you get when you've painted your nails with all the different colors! I would love to try Turquoise & Caicos :) Reading your blog is causing me to develop a slight nail polish obsession!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ellie! Haha I thought it looked nice when I had them on my nails too hehe. Turquoise & Caicos was one of the first turquoise polishes I got :D
DeleteUh oh! Nail polish is a fun addiction lol

Aw thanks Rachel! Thanks for stopping by as always :D
DeleteHehe For Audrey is definitely a great turquoise! Aww thanks for the tag!
I wish I could find For Audrey and Mint Candy Apple! But they're really close though, eh? Lol, I have the same "problem" but with pink shades though, but I think I've been a good girl and only buy varied colours :)
ReplyDeleteAw I hope you're able to find them eventually! lol I was going through a pink phase this summer with nail polish. I'm scared to see how many pinks I have....I'm glad you're good and buy different colors!
DeleteYou have quite the turquoise collection! I like tenacious teal!
ReplyDeletelol! Great pick! :)
DeleteThis is a great comparison - thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteYay! Isn't it a great color? :) Ooh can't wait to see them on you!
DeleteLove them all! Dang I only have one turquoise nail polish! XD Maybe I should go buy one or two more :P
ReplyDeleteHehe thanks! lol! That's what happened when I first started...
DeleteLove the colors! I'm a huge fan of turquoise shades! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! Aw yay! It's a lovely color :D
DeleteIs it sad that I probably own most of these? They're just so great year round!
ReplyDeletelol! Not sad at all!! They really are great all year :D
DeleteSo many similar polishes but I like how they are all different at the same time. China Glaze "For Audrey" has to be my favorite out of the bunch though.
ReplyDeleteAw I'm glad you can see the differences. I'm not crazy! lol well, maybe I am. Yea, For Audrey is definitely a favorite :D
DeleteThey may be similar in shade, but they are so pretty! My bf wanted to know why I wanted a shade from Essie that he said looked like "skin color" haha. XD
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you think so! Aww haha! I can just imagine that happening lol! :D
DeleteI really love all of them and have quite a few of these you showcased on your post.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nory! Yay haha! They're great polishes :D
DeleteThey're all different so it's ok to own all ten! Lol! You know I'm a sucker for blue glitter polishes and I won't stop til I own every one! They all look great, Trace!
ReplyDeletelol!! Thanks, Ate! I definitely know your love for blue glitter :)
DeleteMint Candy Apple almost looks a little lilac in these photos, how weird is that?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE shades like these though :P
lol! Really? I had to look at the picture to see hehe. I'm glad you love shades like these! :D
DeleteI love this! I can only imagine what your polish stash looks like!! This seems to be my favorite color family right now. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Colleen! Eek it's scary to me haha. Awesome! It's a great color :D
DeleteHaha. That is actually a lot of teal but your shades range from blue to green. It's excusable. Plus, minty colors have been so hot for the past few seasons.
ReplyDeletehehe thanks, aki! :D Yes, they have been! So hard for me to resist!
DeleteGreat swatches Traci, I love love love mint green, my favourite is Sally Hansen Extreme Wear in Mint Sorbet ^^ I like teal a lot too, Where's my chauffer and Mint Spirit look like something I totally would wear. Nice range you have going on here love, xx
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Lau! Ooh I've seen swatches of Mint Sorbet and it's lovely!
DeleteThey are all very different and therefore each is necessary! Men just don't understand! =P
ReplyDeletelol!! Thanks, Amber! <3
DeleteI'm sorry, but you need to tell your fiance that these are all different shades! I love these! It's funny, but Essie's Mint Candy Apple didn't like quite so minty in your pictures compared to the other polishes! It looks almost light blue!
ReplyDeletelmao! Thanks, Jayne. I'll let him know :D
DeleteI have to agree! I was expecting it to be mintier too haha.
I absolutely love this post! I'm so obsessed with Turquoise/Mint polishes. I have Essie's Mint Candy Apple, Essie's Turquoise & Caicos and China Glaze's For Audrey and I love all three of them. Based on your swatches I think I might try to get my hands on Essie's Where's My Chauffer and Color Club's Blue-ming.
ReplyDeleteElle
Lipstick & Lace
Aw thanks so much, Elle! I'm a bit obsessed too lol. Ooh yea! Both Where's My Chauffer and Blue-ming are awesome!
Deletethey are all different!! :) you already know i have this problem with lip products haha... but my nail polish collection is getting similarly large...
ReplyDeleteHehe thanks, Elle! It's funny how we can be with certain products or colors hehe
DeleteI have all these except for the Models own and the newer Essie one I have such a hard time not buying any more turquoise, aqua, and mints that are similar. Another great Turquoise aqua creme would be Zoya- Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteOoh nice! Yea, I hate how hard it is. They're just great polishes! :D
DeleteI am the same way with pinks but with turquoise, the logical side comes out and reminds me I have For Audrey. So I pass on a lot of the ones in this color family.
ReplyDeletelol that's good. I need my logical side to come out more! :D
DeleteI am always drawn to these kinds of colors!
ReplyDeletelol sigh...me too. It's good and bad haha
DeleteOh my gosh, I can relate. I think I have more turquoise/blue-greens than any other color. It's kind of ridiculous but they're all so pretty! :) It's fun seeing them all at the same time. Thanks for putting this together!
ReplyDeleteI know, right?? It's hard lol. They're such lovely shades...hard to resist. Aw anytime! Thanks for the love! :D
