Twinsie Tuesday: Splatter


Happy Tuesday! This week's theme was splatter and since I hadn't tried the splatter with a straw technique I decided to go for it. Please excuse my ring finger as a big blob of white polish fell on it in my attempt to blow through the straw I was using...I tried to clean it up, but it just ended up looking crazy...and I didn't want to start over so I left it lol. 

I used Born Pretty Store's holo polish in #8 as the base and used a straw and Pure Ice's Platinum Magic Base for the splatter. I have to say, this didn't turn out as bad as I thought it would. I definitely need more practice, but I don't think I will be trying this again any time soon...lol

    Very pretty! I love the holo you used as a base, it is gorgeous and looks great with the splatter against it!

    Lol I love reading about what happened to the ring finger!! I wouldn't have wanted to start over either >_< Whatever, I still think your mani looks awesome and that you're talented no matter what you put on your nails!!

    That is a pretty splatter mani, it reminds me of the blue summer sky with a few fluffy white clouds :)

    The first time I tried splatter with a straw, I had huge blobs coming out everywhere and then I realized that I had to blow REALLY hard to get that nice "splat" effect. I love that you chose a holo to do this with, really makes the white pop!
